Specialises in complex gastrointestinal nutrition
I love to combine science with practical dietary approaches to help clients achieve good nutrition and their health goals. My passion lies in empowering individuals with the tools and knowledge as they embark on their dietary journey.
Academic. Knowledgeable. Bubbly. Empathetic. Dedicated.
After graduating from Deakin University in 2009, I started my dietetic career within the FODMAP research team at Department of Gastroenterology, Monash University, exploring the role of probiotics and individual FODMAPs on IBS symptoms.
A PhD soon followed (at Monash University, Alfred Health), looking at ‘how diet affects the activity of our gut microbiota in health and in inflammatory bowel disease’.
My experience in research then took me overseas for a post-doctoral fellowship at the Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong where I was excited to pioneer research into the benefits of a combined traditional Chinese food therapy & low FODMAP diet in the management of upper gut symptoms and IBS.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a special interest of mine and I continue to engage actively in IBD research. I have been a part of the Diet Solutions team since 2014.
