Consultation Rebates

Medicare rebate

If you have a chronic disease (including diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cancer and/or stroke) or complex condition, you may qualify for Chronic Disease Management / CDM (formally known as Enhanced Primary Care or EPC) services). Your eligibility for CDM is determined by your GP.

Under CDM services, Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 Dietetic services per person per calendar year. This rebate is for a portion of our consultation fee for those referred to a Dietitian by their GP under a CDM service. Please note that Diet Solutions does not bulk bill appointments.

Your GP needs to have provided a referral before your appointment for you to be eligible for this rebate.  Please email through copy to info@dietsolutions.net.au prior to your appointment or bring a copy of your referral with you to enable you to claim your rebate.   Please note retrospective CDM claims are not available.

Private Health Insurance

Most private health insurance funds provide a proportion of the consultation fee if you have Extras Cover. The rebate will depend on your level of cover.  Please contact your health care provider to check your entitlements.
