Diet post-FMT

Faecal Microbial Transplantation is sometimes used to try to "reset" the gut microbiome in the setting of dysbiosis.

FMT is not routinely used as the science is still in its infancy. However, for those that undertake FMT, considering dietary intake as part of the therapy is vital.

How we can help

Our dietitians are experts in gut health. Certain dietary components are essential to creating what is thought to be a beneficial gut microbiome and can deter microbes that are linked to disease. Our dietitians can work within your dietary limitations for those with existing food intolerances, whilst encouraging optimal diet to encourage the health of your new gut microbiome.
